Dr. Joseph Hugunin is the founder of Move Muscle & Joint in Overland Park, where he specializes in movement-based chiropractic care designed to help people move better, recover faster, and perform at a higher level. His approach integrates chiropractic manipulation, myofascial release therapy, targeted rehabilitation, and movement retraining to address pain, dysfunction, and performance limitations at their source.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Hugunin has worked with professional athletes, collegiate programs, combat sport competitors, and touring performers across multiple industries. His background includes serving as a team chiropractor for Sporting KC, along with working with athletes connected to University of Kansas basketball, track & field, women’s soccer, baseball, and UFC athletes in Las Vegas.
In addition to his work with athletes, Dr. Hugunin actively works within the live entertainment industry as a Live Nation touring “rock doc,” helping musicians and performers manage the physical demands of touring, travel, recovery, and performance.
Today, Dr. Hugunin practices within the Fit House environment, where performance, movement, and long-term health intersect. His philosophy centers around restoring movement quality, improving resilience, and helping active individuals continue doing the things they love — whether that means competing, training, working, or simply living without limitation.
His care is built around one core belief: the body performs best when it moves the way it was designed to move.
